  1. Demonstrate interpersonal skills in a group and explain how these skills impact on others

  2. Demonstrate interpersonal skills in a group and explain how these skills impact on others Explain involves giving reasons of how and why the interpersonal skills impact on others. To do this, students first need to demonstrate them, use on-going reflection and make appropriate adaptations to them. Effectively demonstrate interpersonal skills means the student will use their interpersonal skills in a perceptive manner and not be reliant on the teacher for direction. It is expected that the selected interpersonal skills will be used by the student and observed by the teacher throughout the unit(s) of work.

  3. NOT Achieved I communicated well as I cheered the others when they did a good shot.

  4. NOT Achieved I showed leadership skills by telling the others what to do.

  5. Achieved In basketball practice my communication skills weren’t very good at the beginning because I was too shy to say anything. I was free but no one was passing the ball to me. Later on in the games, I started to talk more and called for the ball so our team played better.

  6. Achieved Communication was one of the skills that had a positive influence on our teamwork. It was important for us to communicate so that we could understand others views, share ideas (tactics or strategies) and give advice and feedback to one another. I did this in basketball by asking questions of Jimmy as he has a good understanding of basketball.

  7. Achieved I supported and encouraged others by using positive talk. This made other group members feel good and improved their confidence.

  8. Achieved I encouraged and supported others by using positive talk. Because of this positive encouragement the team worked successfully together during the games. For example, when Jenny was having difficulty serving, I said “Don’t worry, you are doing well, try and hit the ball a little higher.” The next time Jenny served she felt more confident and took my advice to serve the ball over the net successfully.
