EU at UN HLD on International Migration and Development • 22nd May – European Commission Communication “Maximizing the Development Impact of Migration” • Recognition of the need to introduce migration and mobility into the post-2015 framework • Lack of a clear vision on how to integrate migration into the post-2015 framework

EU Council on Post 2015 • 28th May 2013, the EU Council (devp./FA) endorsed the Council Conclusions on the Post 2015 framework • To be adopted by the General Affairs Council on 25 June • No mention of migration • Commitment to address inequalities, resilience to stress and external shocks and to promote social inclusion, social protection floors and decent work for all • Commitment to ensure a rights-based approach encompassing all human rights • There is a need to address Policy Coherence, in particular Policy Coherence for Development, at all levels and across all sectors
