  1. Trouble Shooting Guide for Bandwidth Controller IP Sharing Product Q: What is NAT?A: Network Address Translation NAT is used to connect private networks to the Internet without having to allocate each user on the their own Internet identity, known as an IP address. It also may mean that to the Internet at large, the private network is just one entity and Internet users cannot differentiate between each PC on the network. Q: How is Router work?A: A router links the two networks and connects both networks to the Internet.

  2. Trouble Shooting Guide for Bandwidth Controller FW-613 Bandwidth Controller Q : Is it possible to control smallest Bandwidth lest than 32Kbps ? A: Yes, that's no problem. As FW-613, you can control by stream setup from 0kbps~10Mbps (Maximum controllable bandwidth) Q: Suppose I have a WAN connection with 32Kbps, I would like to allow the first computer to have 18 Kbps and the second computer to have 14Kbps....is it possible to do that with your FW-613? A: Yes, you can do this setting. Q: how many computer I can connect to your FW-613? ANS: Up to 40 clients. Q: Is there any traffic limitation? A: Maximum controllable bandwidth is 10Mbps. Q: How much memory your FW-613 built in? A: It is 32MBytes.

  3. Trouble Shooting Guide for Bandwidth Controller FW-613 Bandwidth Controller Q: Do FW-613 support symmetric, asymmetric and inverse asymmetry (down less than up stream? ) A: There are features of maximum bandwidth (Downstream & Upstream) at web page of Interface. User can key-in values of bandwidth by themselves. Q: FW-613 is able to block MSN, Yahoo, etc.? A: Yes, FW-613 is able to block MSN , Yahoo by Policy. Q: FW-613 is able to block on line Radio and TV? A: Yes, FW-613 is able to block any kind of service, just only you need to know the service port number. Q: Minimum bandwidth configuration steps? A: Minimum bandwidth for settings is 0 kbps.

  4. Trouble Shooting Guide for Bandwidth Controller FW-613 Bandwidth Controller Q: How does FW-613 Bandwidth Controller, management the bandwidth ? A: FW-613 control bandwidth by a. IP address b. IP address + MAC address c. Up stream and down stream bandwidth d. Service e. Scheduling Q: Does MAC WAN address changeable ? A: Yes, the MAC WAN address can be changed when you're select Dynamic IP Address (Cable modem user) . Q: Why the statistics is "0" ? A: You have to check (select) "Statistic" when you build "Outgoing Policy" and "Incoming Policy" , then the system will draw you the graph

  5. Trouble Shooting Guide for Bandwidth Controller FW-613 Bandwidth Controller Q: When I add address 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2, these 2 PC can go to Internet. But 192.168.0.3 not entered into Address table, this PC still can go to internet. Why?" A: You might need to do more configure for LAN security. Here are advices, 1. Fill MAC Address in each item (Address\LAN) .                             2. Disable system's DHCP server (System\DHCP). Q: Sometimes everybody just can not access Internet, any idea for our situation? A: There is our support experience. Some our client reported this situation, after we check their network environment we found there are some PC were running kind of per-to-per software. As you know per-to-per (like e-mule or e- dumb key ) software block down network all the time. To solve this situation 1. you have to disable the software and 2. you have to avoid to use “Service” with “ANY” at Policy setting on Bandwidth Controller.

  6. Trouble Shooting Guide for Bandwidth Controller FW-613 Bandwidth Controller Q:  How can I make function of Permitted IP work ? A: Please see the settings.
