Domestic Working Group 2004-2005 Plan • Nationals in 2005 – Edmonton, 26-30 January 2005 • Review of current situation • Cancellation of 2 test events due to weather • Biathlon Canada letter to OC raising concerns • TD visit conducted in May 2004 • Program to go ahead with Camrose as a confirmed back-up • Nationals in 2006 – 2 Bids received by deadline and one received post deadline • ACBQ - Valcartier • Strathcona Club (BC) - Mt. Washington • Biathlon NB - Charlo

Domestic Working Group 2004-2005 Plan • North American Summit 23-25 April, Lake Placid, NY • NA Biathlon trophy • Consecutive weekends (whenever possible) • Singular fee schedule • One circuit with east-west points list • Title sponsor to be pursued • Prize money (trial at NACH) • Issues of scheduling • Bid process and TD appointments are underway4-05.doc

Domestic Working Group 2004-2005 Plan • Coaching development • CAC funding confirmed at $6K • Requirement to roll out community coaching program • 2 program development meetings • Requirement to train all LF’s (east-west training) • IOC Solidarity conference ($7,000 US grant) • Level 3 course (West) • Production and Translation of materials • ICE Assignments • Bottom line : $16,750 • Remember: Coaching is the cornerstone of success, every athlete deserves a trained and competent coach…..
