PG SILESIA IS A HARD COAL MINE DEVELOPPED BY EPH IN A SIGNIFICANT INVESTMENT PROGRAM • Situated in Czechowice-Dziedzice, approximately 30 kilometers from Poland’s border with the Czech Republic • KWK SILESIA mine originally set to be closed • Acquired in December 2010 in privatization process from KWSA in JV formed with employees of the mine • The industrial reserves of hard coal amount to more than 130 million tones • Mine heavily underinvested at the time of the acquisition • Acquired with 744 employees • Currently ongoing significant investment program of approx. 150 million EUR (630 million PLN) • 108 million EUR (450 million PLN) already invested • Planned clean coal production • 1.0 Mt p.a. level reached in 2012 • 2.0 Mt p.a. level reached in 2013 • 2.5 Mt p.a. level reached in 2014

SINCE ACQUISITION (15 MONTH PERIOD) PG SILESIA MANAGED TO REFURBISH BOTH UNDERGROUND AND GROUND INFRASTRUCTURE, EQUIPMENT, PROCESSES AND STANDARDS • SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS UNTIL TODAY • Underground • Completed refurbishment and development of pipeline network (ca 45 km) • Rebuilt 450m3 underground bunker • Rebuilt 3000+ m of main galleries and 8 crossing • Built almost 6000 m of new galleries • Transport systems for people and materials • Introduced transportation to the longwall • Built material transport system – 4000+ m • New transport equipment purchased to increase efficiency and workers’ safety • 3 track locomotives • 6 suspended monorail sets • Exploitation and coal treatment • Fully prepared and equipped new long wall • Coal treatment plant refurbished, capacity almost doubled • PG SILESIA now ready to start exploitation • Many Polish Suppliers • Bumech • Famur • Górrem • GSG Mining • HutaŁabędy • Montana • Pioma • PRG Mysłowice • Siemag Polska • Spyra • Trans-Jan • Wampol • Wremgór • And other more…
