  2. The main objectives of the project are to draw attention to the possibilities and measures for the appropriate developed technique for integrated renewable energy farms(i.e. energy, water, and food) to achieve what is called a “self-dependence” for arid desert communities in Jordan (Bedouins). • Also the overall objective is that the IREF concept be successfully introduced into Jordan Badia which have to be completely sustainable and self dependable. • As a contribution to the above, this project seeks to: • Develop a workable scientific model for estimating the requirements and feasibility of a IREF ready for experimental verification or demonstration in the poor bedwin communities all over arab countries ; and • Prepare a project proposal for experimental verification (demonstration farms) of the model under various conditions. • Encourage the Jordanian government and the private sector to implement the IREF for future expansion of Bedouins population due to the increasing electricity demand and environmental degradation.
