  4. Form 6-7: • Editorial pages only/ quality periodicals are acceptable • BAN reading for assignments/ School work

  5. When? How long? • Days II, IV: Half an hour • Day VI: An hour • S1-3 : Use of Reading Journal • Reading Log • Comments • Reserve few minutes for updating Reading Journal entries • Arrange occasional oral recommendations

  6. How to get started • Make clear school language policy • Access www.shcc.edu.hk for Reading Lists • Read books on Prescribed Reading Lists FIRST • Then books on Recommended Reading Lists

  7. Use of Reading Journal • Secondary 1-3 • Record title, author, date of publication, date read in the reading log • Respond to reading in one’s own words • Get peer/ parent feedback • Oral recommendations • Post written recommendations

  8. Class Reading Progress Submit the following 2 items to Reading Team in December and May each year • ONE copy of the BEST entry in Reading Journal (S1-S3) or Book Recommendations ( F.4 –F.6) for display on campus • Complete the E-class ElectronicSurvey From on S1-S7 Class Reading Progress
