  2. First Four Stages of a Frog’s Life • Stage 1: frog eggs (eggs are laid in the water) • Stage 2: newly hatched tadpoles (hatches from the eggs) • Stage 3: One week old tadpole (uses gills and tail to swim in the water) • Stage 4: Six weeks old (external gills disappear)

  3. Last Four Stages of a Frog’s Life • Stage 5: Eight weeks old (Hind legs are formed) • Stage 6: Twelve weeks old (Front legs are formed and tail starts to shrink) • Stage 7: The tail is almost gone • Stage 8: Frog loses its tail and hops out of the water and onto land.
