Vatican deplores Gaza situation BBConline, January 8, 2009 The Pope's justice minister, Cardinal Renato Martino, has sharply criticised Israel's actions and likened the Gaza Strip to a "big concentration camp". Correspondents say his words mark the Vatican's toughest comments since Israel began its offensive with intensive air attacks 12 days ago. He accused both sides of only thinking of their own interests while innocent people paid the price. Pope Benedict XVI has already called for an end to the conflict. Cardinal Martino, president of the Vatican's Council for Justice and Peace, made the comment to Italian online site Il Sussidiario. "Defenceless populations are always the ones who pay," he said. "Look at the conditions in Gaza: more and more, it resembles a big concentration camp.“ The BBC's David Willey in Rome says relations between Israel and the Vatican have been strained recently, after the Pope made it clear that he favoured making Pope Pius XII a saint. EVENT To begin with world leaders try to be diplomatic and blame both sides. But as time goes on they revert to type and back the people they deep down prefer. In the case of the Vatican it has not taken long for them to show whose side they are on! The use of the phrase “concentration camp” is obviously meant to rile Israel but also encourage anti Semitic thoughts about the Jews. The Vatican is saying that the Jews are behaving like the Germans and the Palestinians are the innocent victims in Gaza which is like a concentration camp. The Bible makes clear that Rome has throughout history persecuted the saints (God’s people including the Jews). At the end they will in fact make war against Christ himself. Pope says Iran should work for peace Jerusalem Post, January 16, 2009 Pope Benedict XVI said Friday that Iran should work for peace in the Middle East and urged Catholics in the country not to emigrate and to cooperate with the Islamic regime. Benedict did not mention the tensions over Teheran's nuclear program and the country's role in Middle Eastern conflicts, but said Iran should become a force for peace in the region. "The Catholic Church never ceases to encourage all those who have at heart the common good and peace between nations," the pope said in a meeting with Iran's bishops. "Iran, a bridge between the Middle East and subcontinental Asia, will certainly not fail to follow this vocation." Benedict said Iran's shrinking Catholic communities must develop "harmonious relations" with Iran's public institutions through cultural and charity efforts. He urged the bishops to encourage Catholics to "remain attached to their land" to help develop the country, the Vatican said in a statement EVENT As the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians continues, world leaders struggle to find answers. The Pope has made an increasing number of statements on the conflict. This latest one concerns Iran. The Pope’s words sound right. “Iran should become a force for peace in the region”. Iran “will certainly not fail to follow this vocation” he said. The Bible however says differently. God says that Persia will be involved in the final war against Israel. God says that the Medes (Iranians) will be stirred up. Isaiah 13:17. It is interesting that both the Vatican and Russia are trying to broker peace at the moment. They are little horn of Daniel 7 and the little horn of Daniel 8 respectively. COMMENT BIBLE QUOTE (Daniel 7:8 & Daniel 8:9)

Israeli chief rabbinate cuts ties with Vatican Daily Telegraph, January 28, 2009 Bishop Richard Williamson Israel's highest Jewish body has broken off relations with the Vatican over Pope Benedict XVI's decision to rehabilitate a British bishop who questioned the scale of the Holocaust. The chief rabbinate announced it was severing ties indefinitely, sending a letter to the Holy See expressing "sorrow and pain" at the decision. Bishop Richard Williamson's excommunication was lifted along with three other bishops from the ultraconservative Society of Saint Pius X which opposes the liberal reforms introduced by the Catholic Church in the 1960s by the Second Vatican Council. Benedict, who was elected Pope four years ago, has strained ties with Judaism by condoning the use of the old Tridentine mass in Latin, which includes a Good Friday prayer for the conversion of Jews to Catholicism. EVENT COMMENT In an interview broadcast on Swedish television last week, Bishop Williamson said: "There were no gas chambers." He also stated that he did not believe six million had died, and the number was between 200,000 and 300,000. It is hard to underestimate the harm this has done to Jewish / Catholic relations. Many now doubt that the Pope’s planned trip to Israel later in the year will go ahead. If it does it will be with great controversy. Tomorrow (Sunday) is Holocaust Memorial Day which remembers the 6 million Jews that were killed in the 2nd World War. There will be one further holocaust. The Bible says that two thirds living in Israel will be killed in a great war centred on Israel. It also says that the Vatican will be involved in making war against Christ and the saints. Vatican ‘evolution is compatible with Christianity’ Daily Telegraph, February 11, 2009 The Vatican has admitted that Charles Darwin's theory of evolution should not have been dismissed and claimed it is compatible with the Christian view of Creation. Archbishop Gianfranco Ravasi, head of the Pontifical Council for Culture, said while the Church had been hostile to Darwin's theory in the past, the idea of evolution could be traced to St Augustine and St Thomas Aquinas. Father Giuseppe Tanzella-Nitti, Professor of Theology at the Pontifical Santa Croce University in Rome, added that 4th century theologian St Augustine had "never heard the term evolution, but knew that big fish eat smaller fish" and forms of life had been transformed "slowly over time". Aquinas made similar observations in the Middle Ages. Ahead of a papal-backed conference next month marking the 150th anniversary of Darwin's On the Origin of Species, the Vatican is also set to play down the idea of Intelligent Design, which argues a "higher power" must be responsible for the complexities of life. EVENT COMMENT Let us be clear. One type of species will NEVER EVER become a different species even if the whole of eternity went by. There is not one scrap of evidence for it. A frog will NEVER become a prince – which is what we are supposed to believe! Yes individual species can slightly change over time due to breeding types and even environment but a dog will always give birth to another dog. An apple tree will always produce another apple tree. The account of how God created the world in 6 days in Genesis is not a story. It is not a parable. It is not a fable. It is factual, accurate and true. The Genesis account was written when other civilisations were talking about mythical monsters like a giant duck laying the earth like an egg! Genesis makes sense. The order of creation makes sense. Britain's PM Brown invites Pope to visit Daily Telegraph, February 20, 2009 Gordon Brown has invited Pope Benedict XVI to Britain, in what would be the first visit by a pope for nearly 30 years. The Prime Minister, speaking to reporters after a private audience with the Pope, said there was no indication of when the visit would take place. "He was very welcoming of the invitation," Brown said. It would be the first visit by a pope to the United Kingdom since the late Pope John Paul II visited in 1982. Brown said he suggested to the Pope that he could consider making the visit coincide with the beatification of Cardinal John Henry Newman, one of the most prominent English converts from Anglicanism to Catholism. No date has yet been set for the beatification but it was expected to take place either later this year or next year. EVENT This protestant ruler (Gordon Brown) seeks an audience with the catholic ruler (The Pope). Interesting that a protestant was someone who protested against the authority of the Pope and Rome! Revelation 17 gives us a symbolic picture of a woman sat on a beast. This woman is a harlot with Babylon written on her head. In other words she thinks like the false religions of ancient Babel. The Bible tells us that a woman can be symbolic of the church. Ephesians 5 tells us that a wife married to her husband is symbolic of the church being married to Christ. This woman in Revelation is a harlot not a wife or bride. So which false religion is she? We are told in verse 9 she sits on 7 mountains. ROME! We are also told that the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her. In other words sacrifice their beliefs and accept her authority. Gordon Brown this week…. But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: Pope to visit Holy Land in May Daily Telegraph, March 9, 2009 The visit would be the second official trip by a pope to Israel. Announcing the dates of the long-planned pilgrimage, the Pope said he would go to sites Jesus visited and would pray for "the precious gift of unity and peace for the Middle East and all of humanity". Pope Benedict's Mideast tour will touch Jordan, Israel and the Palestinian territories, with stops in cities including Amman, Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Nazareth, the Vatican said. Though a detailed program has not yet been announced, the pontiff is expected to visit an Amman mosque, hold public Mass in Jordan and Nazareth and make a stop at the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem. Israeli President Shimon Peres, who invited Pope Benedict to visit, called the trip "an important and thrilling event of the first order, that emanates a wind of peace and hope". Pope Benedict's pilgrimage comes at a time of strained relations between Israel and the Holy See. EVENT At a time when Israel’s leaders expect war and conflict - who should visit Israel – the Pope! He will being with him the gift of “unity and peace”. The President of Israel believes it is “thrilling”. The only other official visit by a Pope to Israel was made by John Paul II. He went in March 2000 and visited Jerusalem amongst other places. His written covenant with the Palestinians and his visit encouraged the Palestinians to claim Jerusalem as their capital. It was one of the reasons why President Clinton’s talks over Jerusalem in July 2000 failed. In September 2000 the Al Aqsa Intifada broke out and we have lived in the “age of terror” ever since. This Pope’s visit may well cause a similar situation to occur! COMMENT BIBLE QUOTE (Matthew 24:14)

Gordon Brown and Queen in talks about lifting Catholic ban Daily Telegraph, March 26, 2009 Gordon Brown has opened talks with Buckingham Palace on removing the 308-year-old law which bars members of the Royal Family from marrying Roman Catholics. At present, members of the Royal Family are forbidden by the Act of Settlement from converting to Roman Catholicism or marrying someone from the Catholic faith unless they agree to being removed from the order of succession. The Prime Minister is understood to be in favour of overhauling the laws on succession, and Buckingham Palace is also thought to be ``open'' to the plans. Two of the main impediments to reform - the need to secure the consent of the Commonwealth, and concerns about the monarch's status as head of the Church of England - have both been discussed. Monarchs and members of their family in the order of succession have been banned from marrying Roman Catholics since the Glorious Revolution of 1688, when the Catholic James II was overthrown in favour of the Protestant William of Orange. The prohibition is enshrined in the Bill of Rights passed that year, and the 1701 Act of Settlement. EVENT So does this matter? It does! The monarch of Britain swears to defend THE FAITH. This is the protestant faith of the Anglican communion. A Roman Catholic monarch would instead owe allegiance to the Pope (as all Catholics do) and therefore this would amount to loss of sovereignty. To us it is more than this. Britain for 1000 years lived under Catholic rule - known as the Dark Ages. With the reformation came new light. People could read the Bible in their own language and see the perversion of Catholic teachings. Priests forgiving sins, Hail Mary, confessionals etc. Britain has now become godless and immoral. 9. For it is the day of the LORD’S vengeance, and the year of recompenses for the controversy of Zion. Zion is becoming a controversy! Israel’s control of Mt. Zion in danger Israel National News, April 26, 2009 Ten-year-long negotiations between Israel and the Vatican appear to be drawing to a close, with concerns rising that Israel will cede control of the building housing King David’s Tomb in Jerusalem. The two states have been negotiating a treaty since March 1999 on matters having to do with Church-owned or Church-claimed property in Israel. Among the most significant issue under negotiations is the Vatican’s demand for the Last Supper room, located on the second floor of the ancient Mt. Zion building that also houses the tombs of Kings David, Solomon, and Hezekiah. In addition, the Vatican is claiming areas around Lake Kinneret, as well as in Caesaria and Jerusalem. The director of the yeshiva explained that if the Catholic Church receives control of the area, just a few hundred yards from the Temple Mount, it will turn it into "the international centrefor Catholics all around the world, and if the pope just gives the word, Christians will be flocking over here en masse." EVENT Rome is very interested in Jerusalem. Why? Well Rome has said for centuries that IT is NEW JERUSALEM. This claim was substantiated by the fact that the Jews were scattered around the world and Jerusalem was “trodden down” of the Gentiles. HOWEVER – all this changed when (after almost 2000 years) Israel was re-established as a nation in 1948 and then gained complete control of Jerusalem in 1967. During the debate in 1947 concerning the creation of Israel the Vatican wanted Jerusalem internationalised. In 1948 when Jerusalem was split down the middle they dropped this demand. In 1967 when Israel captured the whole of Jerusalem it renewed its insistence it should be internationalised. In 1994 it dropped this stance again and backed the Palestinians call that East Jerusalem should be their capital. As long as Israel is not in control of all of Jerusalem, the Pope can continue to say that Rome is New Jerusalem and the new kingdom of God on earth. We see their continued focus on God’s city! Palestinian leaders this week made public a long-simmering dispute over Israeli plans to demolish part of a Catholic church that was allegedly built illegally. That followed an argument with Israel over a plan to host the pope in an outdoor theatre the Palestinians were building alongside Israel's massive West Bank separation barrier. The pope will start his five-day visit Monday after a stop in Jordan over the weekend. He said he will be visiting as a "pilgrim of peace." On Wednesday, Rafiq Husseini, an aide to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, told a news conference the pontiff "should come to see the suffering of the Palestinian people and not just to see the stones and historical churches in Palestine." EVENT On the 15th February 2000, the late Pope (John Paul II) signed a covenant with the late Palestinian leader, Yasser Arafat. The agreement said "an equitable solution for the issue of Jerusalem, based on international resolutions". More significantly, it added that "unilateral decisions and actions altering the specific character and status of Jerusalem are morally and legally unacceptable". This is a reference to 1967 when the Jews took Jerusalem. This covenant about Jerusalem was signed with the Palestinians and therefore was taken to indicate Rome’s acceptance of Palestinian claims to the city of Jerusalem. Pope John Paul II then visited Jerusalem in March 2000. Once more the Palestinians are taking this Pope’s visit as a sign he is on their side. Trouble began over Jerusalem just months after this agreement and visit – trouble is coming again…. COMMENT BIBLE QUOTE (Zechariah 8:2-3)

Jerusalem Post, May 4, 2009 President Shimon Peres is willing to hand over Israeli sovereignty of key Christian holy sites to the Vatican, a proposition that is reportedly opposed by Interior Minister Eli Yishai and that has ruffled feathers among other senior government officials, Army Radio reported on Monday. Beit Hanassi could not be reached for comment on Monday, as it does not issue statements to the press while the president is abroad. According to the radio report, the president is exerting pressure on the government to give up sovereignty over six sites, including the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth, the Coenaculum on Mount Zion, Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, and the Church of the Multiplication on the Kinneret. The report quoted Beit Hanassi as saying that talks had been going on long enough, and that the time had come to compromise with the Vatican and come to an agreement. EVENT We have to understand the problem that Rome has with Jerusalem. The problem is simple. How can Rome say that she is the New Jerusalem and the Kingdom of God on earth IF the Jews are now back in the land in control of Jerusalem? For hundreds of years Rome has said that the Jews had been rejected and cast off by God and the evidence was that this was correct. The Jews had no nation and did not have Jerusalem as their capital. All this changed in 1948 and especially 1967 when the Jews once more had total sovereign control over Jerusalem. Somehow or other Rome needs to breakdown Jewish control over this city. One way is backing the Palestinians and their claim to East Jerusalem. The other way is to persuade Israel to give them sovereignty over buildings and land in Jerusalem. Associated Press, May 12, 2009 Pope Benedict XVI on Tuesday called for the faithful to overcome conflicts of the past and engage in sincere dialogue as he became the first pontiff to visit Islam's sacred Dome of the Rock shrine. The pope then prayed at Jerusalem's Western Wall, also known as the Wailing Wall, a remnant of Solomon's Temple and a top pilgrimage destination for the world's Jews. Benedict was the first pope to enter the Dome of the Rock on Al-Haram Al-Sharif (the Noble Sanctuary), also known as the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, which is Islam's third holiest spot. The site, which the Jews call Temple Mount, is also the holiest in Judaism and has been a major flashpoint in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, where the latest Palestinian uprising erupted in 2000. Pope John Paul II had visited the compound during his landmark 2000 pilgrimage to the Holy Land, but did not enter the Dome of the Rock, whose huge golden cupola is seen as Jerusalem's main landmark. EVENT This is quite possibly the most significant sign of the nearness of Christ’s return that we have witnessed. The Pope is the head of the false religion of Rome. This religion is described as “THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” Rome is the mother of ALL false “Christian” religions. God sees this religion as an abomination because they have twisted the truth of His Word with lies. Note that the word “abomination” is associated with Rome. Now look at where the Pope went. He stood in the Dome of the Rock. The Dome of the Rock is EXACTLY where the sanctuary – the Holy Place – the Temple shown above was situated. Matthew 24 tells us “when you see the abomination of desolation STAND in the Holy Place” – the time of trouble such as never was is at hand. Pope calls for Palestinian state BBConline, May 13, 2009 Pope Benedict XVI has offered his support for the Palestinians' right to a homeland as he continues his Middle East tour in the West Bank. Speaking in a Bethlehem refugee camp, he said he understood frustrations that their "legitimate aspirations" for a Palestinian state were unfulfilled. Standing beside him, Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas called on Israel to embrace peace. Earlier, the pontiff said he prayed for a lifting of Israel's embargo on Gaza. The BBC's Tim Franks said that the Pope used the stark backdrop of a Palestinian refugee camp to deliver one of his strongest expressions of support for the Palestinians. Standing in the shadow of Israel's separation wall in the Aida refugee camp, which houses refugees from Israel's creation in 1948, the Pope called the barrier a symbol of "stalemate" between Israel and the Palestinians. EVENT The Pope has declared his support for a "sovereign Palestinian homeland" and calling for the end of the blockade on the Gaza Strip. This speech was greeted with deep satisfaction by the Palestinians. The previous Pope, John Paul II, back in the year 2000 signed a covenant with the Palestinians which gave them the Vatican’s full support. Now 9 years later the next Pope has returned and confirmed this covenant giving the Palestinians Rome’s full backing. It was the previous Pope who so “encouraged” the Palestinians that they decided to launch an intifada against Israel just months later. Incredible pressure is building up on Israel to accept a two state solution. Divide the land and divide Jerusalem. The time is near for all nations to get involved. COMMENT BIBLE QUOTE (Joel 3:2)

Obama meets with Pope at Vatican Voice of America, July 10, 2009 U.S. President Barack Obama and Pope Benedict have met at the Vatican for wide-ranging talks on international issues as well as human rights. A Vatican statement released after the meeting listed the defence and promotion of human life and the right to freedom of conscience as leading issues. It said their discussions also included immigration, the Middle East peace process, and the global economic crisis and its implications for food security and development aid, especially for Africa and Latin America. Mr. Obama stopped at the Vatican following the summit in Italy of leaders of the world's eight richest countries. At the start of the meeting, the pope was overheard asking Mr. Obama about the G8 summit, which the president called very productive. EVENT The kings of the earth commit fornication with the harlot of Rome. This is what the Bible says in Revelation 17. Fornication is a strong word. Strong’s says it means “to prostitute one’s body to the lust of another”. The Pope is the head of the harlot religion of Rome. Rome is the prostitute. Obama (in this instance) is the one committing fornication. So what does this mean? Obama lusts after the Pope’s influence. The one billion Catholics worldwide and also the influence he has over other world leaders and other religious leaders. So why is Rome out of all religions singled out as the “mother of harlots”. Well it is from Rome that ALL false CHRISTIAN religious systems spawned. Rome sees herself as the head of all Christian religions – they are her daughters. Rome wields enormous political influence with the kings of the earth. Note how he spoke to Obama about Israel and the Palestinians. Rome is influencing the process…. Pope proposes new financial order Daily Telegraph, July 8, 2009 The Pope condemned the "corruption and illegality" of politicians and businesses across the world as he called for a new order based on the common good. In a detailed critique of modern social, economic and environmental problems, delivered on the eve of a summit of the G8 leaders in Italy, Pope Benedict XVI warned that globalisation risked triggering a worldwide crisis. He criticised the UN and said a new organisation "with real teeth" is needed to prevent another financial crisis, bring about peace and reduce the gap between rich and poor. The pontiff also warned ordinary consumers that their everyday choices have moral consequences, and called for greater appreciation of the potential dangers of new developments in technology and medicine. He concluded that progress will only benefit the world if it is based on a "Christian humanism" that takes into account more than profit or self-interest. EVENT This really is an amazing statement from the Pope. He says that progress will only benefit the world if it is based on “Christian humanism”! What on earth is Christian humanism? “Humanism rejects deference to supernatural beliefs in human affairs.” says one dictionary. Ie God does not operate in the affairs of the world. The Pope does not believe God does. He thinks that God has put him in charge to direct the affairs of men. Humanism also believes that it is MAN that can solve his own problems. God is not required. This is precisely what is being talked about in Revelation 16. The unclean spirits like frogs refers to humanist teachings. The false prophet = the Pope. These godless teachings have gone out to the kings / world - to gather them to Armageddon. COMMENT BIBLE QUOTE (Revelation 16:13)

Relics of St Therese arrive at Westminster Cathedral Daily Telegraph, October 13, 2009 Amid clouds of incense and flanked by priests carrying lanterns, the much-travelled mortal remains of an obscure French Carmelite nun were carried into Westminster Cathedral, watched by a crowd of almost 1,000 pilgrims, alternately praying and cheering. Now, after a month-long progress round England and Wales that has attracted 150,000 people, it is the turn of Westminster Cathedral, the Byzantine-style headquarters of Roman Catholicism in Britain, to host the portions of thigh and foot bone for public veneration. . EVENT At least another 100,000 are expected to attend special services and all-night vigils in the next three days. They are coming to touch or kiss or just look at a glass bullet proof box that contains the thigh and foot bone of Therese Martin. She was a simple French girl, often in poor health and only averagely educated who died in 1897. After her death her body was divided into three. One part remains where she was born, another travels France and the other now travels the world. Many miracles and “graces” are attributed to her intercession and the majority of people arrive with requests to help sick relatives. The Roman Catholic Church is full of this sort of superstition. God singles out this religion as the “mother” of all false Christian religions. It was Rome that mixed up the Truth with the false pagan religions of that time. European values are the product of a long history in which Christianity played a vital role, he said. The European model of civilisation should not be allowed to dismantle itself piece by piece, the head of the Roman Catholic Church added. "When the Church reminds Europe of its Christian roots, it is not looking for special status, (but instead) it is recalling the fact -- more and more overlooked -- that the founding fathers of the European Union were inspired by Christianity," he said. If these Christian principles were forgotten, the pope said, there was a risk the European project could be exploited by individuals and pressure groups to pursue their own ends to the detriment of the collective good. The pope said the Church wanted to help in the construction of the EU. "This is why the Church reminds the EU of the essential founding values of European society - so they can be promoted for the good of all," he said. The pope also said he was pleased at the "excellent relations" between the European Union and the Holy See. EVENT Europe is close to becoming an Empire. It is just one signature away from getting the Lisbon Treaty ratified. When ratified Europe will become a legal entity for the first time. The beast of Revelation 17 that comes out of the bottomless pit is none other than Europe that we see today. A new Roman Empire that exists at the time of the end. But who is riding the beast? Vatican seeks to lure disaffected Anglicans Associated Press, October 20, 2009 The Vatican announced Tuesday it was making it easier for Anglicans to convert to Roman Catholicism — a surprise move designed to entice traditionalists opposed to women priests, openly gay clergy and the blessing of same-sex unions. The decision, reached in secret by a small cadre of Vatican officials, was sure to add to the problems of the 77-million-strong Anglican Communion as it seeks to deal with deep doctrinal divisions that threaten a permanent schism among its faithful. The change means conservative Anglicans from around the world will be able to join the Catholic Church while retaining aspects of their Anglican liturgy and identity, including married priests. The spiritual leader of the global Anglican church, Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, was not consulted about the change and was informed only hours before the announcement. The decision could undermine decades of talks between the Vatican and Anglican leaders over how they could possibly reunite. The decision confirmed Pope Benedict XVI's design of creating a unified, tradition-minded Catholic Church — a goal he outlined at the start of his pontificate and has been steadily implementing ever since. EVENT The false religion of Rome is described as MOTHER of harlots. She is the MOTHER of all false Christian religions. This is exactly what the Pope says. He says that other Christian religions are “daughter churches”. What the Pope wants to do is gather these errant daughters back to the fold. While they are “away” from the Catholic (Universal) Church they are not true Churches (he says). This is why every effort is being put in to bringing protestants back under the control of Rome. Archbishop and Pope try to mend fences in Vatican Church Times, November 27, 2009 THE Vatican described the meeting between Pope Benedict XVI and the Archbishop of Canterbury — the first since the Apostolic Constitution was announced — as “cordial” on Saturday. The Pope’s gift to Dr Williams was a pectoral cross, a bishop’s in­signia. Dr Williams wore the ring that Pope Paul VI gave to Arch­bishop Michael Ramsey. After the meeting, the Vatican said that the two leaders had discussed “the need to promote forms of col­lab­oration and shared witness” in the face of the challenges Christian­ity faced. In an interview immediately after the meeting, broadcast on the BBC’s Sunday, Dr Williams said that the meet­ing had gone “as well as I could have hoped. . . “I was able to express the con­cerns which many Anglicans feel in the way the Apostolic Constitution was handled, in the way that it was made public, but we moved from there to talk about more positive matters of co-operation, and he was extremely enthusiastic about the next stage of official dialogue between our two Churches.” EVENT Some may question why we concentrate on the false religion of Rome when in fact there are many false religions in the world. The reason is simple. The Bible concentrates on this one religion in particular. It sees Rome (Catholicism) as the root cause, the head, the MOTHER of ALL false Christian religions. In effect all the false beliefs – the trinity, heaven going, the devil etc were developed into Christianity through Rome. The Pope wants to bring all errant Christian religions back under its control. The Church of England which broke away from Rome hundreds of years ago is gradually being encouraged to go back. The announcement, which came after President Dmitry Medvedev met Pope Benedict XVI, means that full-fledged embassies will be established in Moscow and Rome. Since 1990, the two sides have maintained representation below the rank of ambassador. "President Medvedev told Pope Benedict XVI that he had signed a decree concerning the establishment of full diplomatic relations with the Vatican," said Natalia Timakova, a Kremlin spokesman. Relations between the Vatican and the Russian Orthodox Church have been tense for centuries, and were again strained in recent years by Orthodox accusations of Catholic proselytising in post-Soviet Russia. The Russian Church has recently moved to soften its stance. EVENT In Daniel chapter 7 we read of a little horn. In Daniel chapter 8 we read of a little horn. They are both very different though. The chapter 7 horn is a little horn that remains little. It speaks great things, has eyes and a mouth, changes times and laws and makes war on the saints. Most importantly it comes out of the Roman Empire (the 4th beast). The chapter 8 little horn is totally different. It starts little but grows. It invades Israel, removes the daily sacrifice, has a fierce countenance, is deceitful and also stands against Christ. Most importantly it comes out of GREECE. Both horns refer to specific leaders. Daniel 7 horn refers to the head of the papacy – the POPE. Daniel 8 horn referred initially to Antiochus Epiphanes the original king of the north. The latter day king of the north is Russia and the current head is Medvedev. We see therefore the little horn of Daniel 7 and the horn that grew of Daniel 8 making an agreement to work together. Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD Israel won't surrender Christian sites to Vatican Israel Today, December 10, 2009 A delegation headed by Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon departed for the Vatican on Wednesday to let the Catholic Church know it will not receive ownership of dozens of Christian holy sites throughout Israel and the Palestinian-ruled territories. The Vatican has been demanding for decades that Israel surrender ownership of the holy sites, exempt the church of taxes on those properties, and waive its right to ever expropriate the land on which they sit. During that time, the Vatican has refused to pay taxes on the properties it does own in Israel. One of the main sites being demanded by the Vatican is the traditional location of Jesus' Last Supper on Mount Zion just outside the present-day walls of the Old City. Ayalon told reporters that Israel will not relinquish ownership of the room of the Last Supper or any of the other 28 holy sites under its direct sovereignty, but is willing to make some concessions on taxes and to waive its right to nationalize church property. EVENT The Vatican desperately wants not only land in Jerusalem but also sovereign control of land in Jerusalem. It is totally different to own a plot of land than to have sovereign control over it. You may own land but you come under the laws of the government and therefore you pay their taxes etc. If you have sovereign control you do not pay taxes, you make the rules. The main aim of the Vatican is to wrestle away Jerusalem (even part of it) from the Jews. If it can do this then it can continue with its false claim that Rome is the new Jerusalem.
