  4. Arhimed je bio grcki matematicar I fizicar, iz Sirakuze na Siciliji, sin astronoma , prvi je izracunao broj Pi.

  5. Po legendi Arhimedove poslednje reci su bile: ”Ne dirajte moje krugove.”

  6. Pi je iracionalan broj tj. ne moze se napisati kao razlomak. • Ovo je dokazao Johan Hajnrih Lambert 1761. godine.

  7. Simbol "π" za Arhimedovu konstantu je prvi put uveo 1706. godine matematicar Vilijam Dzouns.
