  3. 12-micron polyester film – 1-side factory treated Inks – solvent-based, toluene-free • 3 chemistries – • Vinyl-modified polyurethane • Modified-polyamide • Modified-polyurethane Materials

  4. 12-micron polyester film – 1-side factory treated Inks – 3 chemistries Primers – Water-Based • 2 chemistries – • Polyethylene-imine • Polyurethane Materials

  5. Lab Experiments – Set I • Ink draw-downs on polyester film: • Different types & colors • Prime over “printed” samples: • Polyethylene-imine based extrusion primer Approach • Extrusion-coat on lab pilot line: • High-temperature polyethylene

  6. Lab Experiments – Set I 40-micron polyethylene @ high temperature Approach primer ink 12-micron polyester film (corona-treated)
