  2. PREAMBLE • Domestic violence (emotional, physical and sexual) is a public health problem globally. Dating violence, also called "partner abuse" or "wife abuse" is a facet of the global problem of domestic violence. The partner violence exists in all societies, and affects women regardless of their socioeconomic status, education, or age. In most cases, domestic violence is directed against women by men • Violence, whether against women or other family members, it affects every member of it.

  3. POSITION • Thebatteredwoman, livesdisturbingemotionalsituations:1. Loss of selfesteem.2. Ambivalencetowardtheabuserfeelsthefear, anger and love (in remission).3. Anxiety of themarchthat comes theresponsibility of familybreakdown and, in most cases, bearthechildren.4. Environmentalpressures, whichblamesthevictimforhis position and marital failure, forexample, friendspressureyoutoleavehim, whilethemothertoholdhim.

PROBLEM • It has beendeterminedthatone of the places wherethereisgreaterfrequency of sexual harassmentagainstwomenispublictransport: A survey in theTrolleysystemevidencethat 44% of womenwho use transport has sufferedsomeform of harassment. • ThatiswhytheMunicipality of Quito willworkonfivestrategies: • Campaignprevention and sexual violence in publicspace and specifically in theTrolley.

POSSIBILITIES • Cacmpaing against geneder violence of center for women’s global leadership. • Program of prevention of schoolviolence in datingrelationshipsamongadolescents • Itisimportanttoenactlaws and formulatepoliciesthatprotectwomenwhofightagainstdiscrimination of women and promotegenderequality • TechnicalguidanceEloborarbasedonscientific data ontheprevention of intimatepartnerviolence and sexual violence • Collaboratewithinternationalorganizationsto reduce oreliminateintimatepartnerviolence and sexual violenceworldwide

REFLECTION • In ouropinion, violenceagainstwomenis a topic of greatinterestbecausemanywomen in Ecuador are victims of physical, psychological and sexual, thevastmajority of womenwillremainsilentforfeartoremainbatteredbytheirabusers and are veryfewwhodaretoreportit, so thehelpofferedbyinstitutionsprimarilythecountywiththecampaigntoprevent sexual harassment in thetransport and whetherallwomenaware of a world free of sufferingforthusmay lead a quietlife.
