It takes into account the root of your links, number of links and the quality of those links. DA is capable of measuring the relevancy of your domain to that particular industry. It employs a statistical base of 0-100 determining the popularity of your domain. It is a reflection of how trustworthy the site is. A good DA score is highly subjective but the wide impression of it is, anything about 80 is considered to be elite. The higher the score, the better the website. Having a good DA score goes a long way in improving your search rankings. Websites starting off will always have a DA score of 1. If you have high-quality external links, it is always going to boost your DA score which in turn will have an effect on the rankings. On the other hand, if your website has a limited number of inbound links, the DA score is bound to be low. Instead of using DA score as a concrete metric, it is better when used as a comparative measure with your competitors ensuring you stay on top. There’s no good or bad score.
