  7. Information of Hong Kong Police Force

  8. Hong Kong Police Force The Hong Kong Police Force is the police force of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. Formed in 1844 with a strength of 35.As of February 28, 2007, the Force has a strength of 27,375 and 4,885 civilian employees. The force was named Royal Hong Kong Police Force by Queen Elizabeth II in 1969 and retained that name until the handover in 1997.

There were only 1 inspector and 2 sergeants in charge 1956 – the Police Tactical Unit (PTU) was established due to the event , The Double Tenth riots , in 1956 1951 – the first intake of nine women constables marched onto the parade ground at Wong Chuk Hang

  14. Policeman • Entry Requirements • Nationality • permanent resident of the HKSAR • have lived in Hong Kong for at least seven years.

  15. Entry Requirements • Police Constable • Academic Requirements • Five subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language at Level 2 in the HKCEE • Language Proficiency Requirements • Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language in the HKCEE. • Attend and must pass in one attempt, the Government Standard Examination held by the Civil Service Bureau before being offered appointment. • Be able to read and write Chinese and speak fluent Cantonese.

Entry Requirements • Inspector • Academic Requirements • A Hong Kong degree • An accredited Associate Degree from Hong Kong tertiary institution • A Higher Diploma • A pass in two AL subjects in the HKALE • Three subjects at grade C in the HKCEE • Language Proficiency Requirements • Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language in the HKCEE. • Pass the Chinese and English Papers in the Written Examination during the selection exercise of Inspectors. • Be able to read and write Chinese and speak fluent Cantonese.
