  1. Top 7 Tips for a SuccessfulSuccess Maker By Diane Henssler and Rachel Seckinger

  2. We love DATA!

  3. EQ: How can I use what I Learned ABOUT SUCCESS MAKER TODAY to benefit the students? • How do I see student data/information? • How do I run a report? • What are some of the helpful reports? • What type of resources will Success Maker provide me? • How do I access Print Partners? • How do I access videos? • How do I make adjustments to students?

  4. The Log-In • http://bb-sm.elanco.org/lms/login.home.view • Username: firstlast (rachelseckinger) • Password: your usual log in password

  5. 1. How do I see student data/information? • On the home screen you will see math and reading. Click on VIEW STUDENTS under the category you desire. • You will then see a list of student names. Click on the small graph icon next to any of the names. • Scroll down to see all the data on the student and then click the arrow to see the next student that comes alphabetically.

  6. 2. How do I run a report? • From the home screen, click on the GROUPS tab. • Then check the box next to your class name. • At the bottom of the screen (you may need to shrink the screen) there is a reports button. Select the report you would like and hit GO. • We recommend Cumulative Report—lots of information—but all of them are helpful • You then will have to click on CHOOSE SUBJECT and pick one. • It offers more sorting features but I recommend leaving them as is. • It will then bring up the report you chose.

  7. 3. What are some of the helpful reports? • We just showed the Cumulative Report • This is the big picture (assigned course level, current course level, IP, gain, time spent, how many questions they attempted, how many questions they got correct, percent correct, and more)

  8. Areas of Difficulty- Review red flag areas

  9. Student Performance Report- look for the concerned student individually

  10. Last Session Report- to view the last session and monitor behavior

  11. 4. What type of resources will Success Maker provide me? • PRINT PARTNERS! • This is such an amazing feature. You can print off activities and worksheets after fine tuning areas of needed improvement. • Only available in Reading • VIDEO ACCESS • You can watch the same video that the students do (either to use whole group, small group, one-on-one, or to see exactly what the students are working on)

  12. 5. How do I access Print Partners? • From the home screen, click on COURSEWARE at the top of the page. • Then click on a subject (ex: READING). • Then click SAVE AS. • Then click CUSTOMIZE BY CONCEPT. • Select your desired GRADE. • Then click a STRAND, then a SUBTOPIC, then be even more specific. • Over on the right, there will be a tab for PRINT PARTNERS. This is where you can read more about the print partner, see it, and print it if you desire. • NOTE: Not all concepts have print partners.

  13. 6. How do I access videos? • From the home screen, click on COURSEWARE at the top of the page. • Then click on a subject (ex: READING). • Then click SAVE AS. • Then click CUSTOMIZE BY CONCEPT. • Select your desired GRADE. • Then click a STRAND, then a SUBTOPIC, then be even more specific. • Over on the right, there will be a tab for LEARNING OBJECTIVES (LO). • Click VIEW LO.

  14. 7. How do I make adjustments to students? • From the home screen, click USERS/GROUPS. • Click STUDENTS. • Click VIEW/BROWSE. • Click on a student name. • Click on EDIT and make necessary changes.

  15. …One Step at a time… Write one question you might still have about this program. Write one thing you are going to do with this information.
