  1. March 8, 2011 Sponsored by Story PTA STORYTELLER Principal’s Corner Dear Parents, Mark your calendars!  It’s that time of the school year that our teachers and students have the opportunity to share with you the wonderful things that take place at Story Elementary.  Our annual Open House will be held Thursday, March 10, from 5:30-7:00 p.m.  This is a time for parents to celebrate with their children the things they are learning, get acquainted with other Story families, and see where their children spend a great deal of their day.    There will be surveys available in the classrooms as well as on the front desk.  The information on the surveys will be used by our Campus Improvement Team, which is composed of staff members, parents, community members, and business owners, to develop our Campus Improvement Plan for 2011-2012.  We will also be using the information you provide to improve procedures and practices at Story.  We ask that you would complete one survey per family, and at the end of the night please turn in the survey to the wagon located by the front desk.  Thank you for your input.    The Student Council Annual Bake Sale will also be held that evening.  Baked goods range in cost from $.25-$1.00.   Please drop by the cafeteria anytime throughout the night and support our Student Council by purchasing some of their delicious baked goods.    We hope to see you there, as it is always such a special time for our children! Thank you for TEAMing with us to make Story Elementary such an exemplary school! Sincerely, Judith Coffman The Counselor’s Couch Parent Education Workshop You’re Invited! We need your help in ensuring student safety in and around our parking lot. Please use designated parking areas ONLY and adhere to all signs regarding traffic flow and parking.
