  3. Miscellaneous • Use BPPs and Job Aids • http://www.osc.nc.gov/training/osctd/help • What’s New • http://www.osc.nc.gov/beacon/training/whats_new.html • As of this morning, the new dual employment time sheet is NOT available, keep processing as usual

  4. Miscellaneous • Payroll “Wall” is now up. 4/1/11 for permanent (monthly) and 4/2/11 for supplemental (bi-weekly). The “rolling wall” will be discussed in more detail in future HR Conference Calls with BEST. • After processing actions, make it a habit to check some ITs to ensure the action processed correctly. This will help prevent overpayments, underpayments, etc. • IT 00 – Actions – Action, Effective date, Notes • IT 01 – Org Assign – Position #, ee group/subgroup • IT 07 – Planned Working Time – WSR, work week, % • IT 08 – Basic Pay – Salary • IT 41 – Date Spec – Original and Agency hire date

Frequent payroll errors that we can prevent: • Absence in an inactive period – • Time entries, 9500, 9400, 9000, 9200 etc entered after ee has been separated • Date type not in IT 41 • IT 41 is missing dates • Infotype should include (01) Original Hire Date and (02) Agency Hire Date • Separation actions should also include (03) Last Day Worked

  6. Actions / ReasonsDefinitions • This presentation will only include new A/R, definitions for actions that are processed by Class and Comp. • For RIF and ER, please refer questions or concerns regarding these areas to the designated contact

  8. Reallocation • Reallocation Inc Partial • Reallocation Inc – After Eff Date Full – This Reason has been removed and is no longer an option. • Note on ee’s in a work – against position

  9. Reinstate • Be sure to look at community service leave • Separation • If the action should be reviewed by ER please make note in the comments. • Make note in separation action regarding negative balances. Check and resolve negative balances. • There should not be time entries of any kind after the effective date of a separation. (vacation, sick, LWOP, etc) • There will a separate “Separation” webinar in the weeks to come.

  13. LOA – Additional Notes added • STD 60 day waiting period * If STD 60 day runs concurrently with FMLA and ends within the FMLA period, this action is not necessary. However, notes must state STD 60 day period. * If STD 60 day is outside of the 12 week (480 hr) period, this action should be processed. • Long Term Disability (Leave)
