  5. United Kingdom Foundation Degree G12 HNC/HND University G11 BTEC BTEC = Business & Technology Education Council Extended Diploma HNC = Higher National Certificate HND = Higher National Diploma

  6. Admission Requirements - exact calculations of grades/points - additional exam(s) required (eg. TOEFL, IELTS, BMATA and LNAT)

  7. UCAS Tariff points allocated to 23 HKDSE subjects except Mathematics:

  8. English language exams For undergraduate courses: - IELTS 5.5-7.0 - TOEFL 550 for paper based test or 213 on computer based test For Sub-degree courses: - IELTS 4.0-5.5 Other entrance exams: Medicine:Biomedical Admission Tests or UK Clinical Aptitude Test Law:National Admission Test for Law

UCAS UCAS (University and Colleges Admission Service) - responsible for ALL applications to UK universities • for each application, students may apply for 5 different courses, in different or the same universities • for medicine, veterinary and dentistry, students can have a maximum of 4 choices for those courses, and one choice for other courses • can apply to Oxford OR Cambridge but not both

  14. Australia TAFE G12 Foundation University Certificate G11 Diploma TAFE = Technical and Further Education

  15. Admission Requirements - different admission policies - apply directly to universities - some have declared their requirements on HKDSE eg. University of South Australia - additional exam(s) required (eg. TOEFL, IELTS and Exams for Medicine)
