  15. If You Don’t Follow Me… • 28:64 "Then the LORD will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known––wood and stone.

  16. “THE” Speech • Deut 29:1 These are the words of the covenant which Yahweh commanded Moses to make with the sons of Israel in the land of Moab, besides the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.

  17. 14 Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath, • 15 but with him who stands here with us this day before Yahweh our God, and also with him who is not here with us this day.

  18. And Who Are They? • Those that are of the Promise • The Children of the Covenant • All future Israelites and anyone that would attach themselves to the Israelites.

  19. Time of the Kings • So, the Israelites take back the land of Canaan and want a king. • Saul, David and Solomon

  20. Under these three kings, all twelve tribes were governed until…

  21. Solomon Blew it! • I Kings 11:31And he said to Jeroboam (the servant of Solomon), "Take for yourself ten pieces, for thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel: ‘Behold, I will tear the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon and will give ten tribesto you.

  22. Why? • 33 ‘because they have forsaken Me, and worshiped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians… and have not walked in My ways to do what is right in My eyes and keep My statutes and My judgments, as did his father David.

  23. The Kingdom is Split • The 10 tribes in the North were called the “House of Israel”,“House of Joseph” or just “Ephraim” • The 2 tribes in the Southern Kingdom were called the “House of Judah” because Judah received the first born blessing.

  24. The North was Warned! • Because of their continual breaking of the Covenant that was given to Adam, then Noah, then Abraham and finally written down through Moses, they were taken captive by the King of Assyria around 722B.C.

  25. Judah Taken to Babylon • The House of Judah also played the harlot and was taken into captivity around 586B.C. into Babylon for 70 years.

  26. Divided they Fall • When they were allowed to come back, most of Judah came back from Babylon. • The Northern House of Israel NEVER CAME BACK!

  27. Became as Gentiles • The 10 tribes were taken into captivity and disbursed all across Assyria. • Over time, they assimilated into the nations and became as Gentiles(goyim).

  28. Same Speech 2 Chapters later • Deut 30:1-6"Now it shall come to pass, when all these things come upon you, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, and you call them to mind among all the nations where the LORD your God drives you, • 2 "and you return to the LORD your God and obey His voice, according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul,

Same Speech • 3 "that the LORD your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the LORD your God has scattered you. • 4 "If any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under heaven, from there the LORD your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you.

He will prosper you and multiply you more than your fathers. • 6 "And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.

  31. Has This Happened Yet?

  32. LOST! • By NT times, most still knew which tribe they were from and lived across the Euphrates River according to Josephus. • But over the past 2000 years, they would completely lose their identity as the “House of Israel”, totally fulfilling the prophecy.

  33. What are the “Sheep”? • John 10:3 The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. • John 10:4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. • John 10:7 Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep.

  34. House of Israel are called “Sheep” • Jer 50:17 "Israel is like scattered sheep; The lions have driven him away. • Mic 2:12 "I will surely assemble all of you, O Jacob, I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together like sheep of the fold, Like a flock in the midst of their pasture; They shall make a loud noise because of so many people.

  35. Lost but not Forever! • Eze 11:16"Therefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: "Although I have cast themfaroffamong the Gentiles, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I shall be a little sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone."’

  36. Scattered Sheep • "As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day. Eze 34:12

  37. Who is the Great Shepherd?

  38. Characteristics of theHouse of Judah • They have the Law of God. (Gen 49:10) • They will reject the Messiah • They did not lose their identity because they came back after their captivity. • They are called “Those that are near” (Dan. 9:7)

  39. Characteristics of the House of Ephraim (Israel) • They are from the Northern 10 tribes • They were disbursed into all the nations after their captivity

  40. Characteristics of the House of Ephraim (Israel) • They live among the Gentiles (Ho 8:8) • They have forgotten the name of their God (Jer 23:27) • They are a wealthy people (Gen 49:22)

Characteristics of the House of Ephraim (Israel) • Do not know or understand the Law of God and do not keep it • Ho 8:10 Yes, though they have hired among the nations, Now I will gather them; And they shall sorrow a little, Because of the burden of the king of princes. 12 I have written for him the great things of My law, But they were considered a strange thing.

  42. Characteristics of the House of Ephraim (Israel) • They are called “Not my people”, “sons of the Living God”(Ho 2:23), “those that are far off” (Is 57:19), and “lost sheep”(Jer 50:6) • The majority of them when they are re-gathered will come from the West (Ho 13:15)

  46. Have you ever wondered why pagan gentiles that hated the Jews would so readily accept a “Jewish” Messiah?

  47. Because they weren’t pagan Gentiles!

  48. Israelite Gentiles? • Amos 9:9 For, look, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all the gentiles…

  49. Greek Israelites? • John 7:33 Jesus therefore said, Yet a little while I am with you, and I go to him who sent me. 34 You will seek me, and will not find me: and where I am, you+ cannot come.
