Johnson O’Malley • To provide Indian Students with adequate school supplies, equipment and other educational needs • To provide tutorial assistance to Indian Students to enhance their skills and understanding of the core education elements • To provide incentive programs that challenge Indian Students to earn and maintain above average grade scores • To provide opportunities for Indian Students to participate in Native Leadership Conferences and other leadership activities

  12. Tribal Government • Advancing Quality Communities for Indian Tribes & Tribal Nations • Promoting strong and stable tribal governments • Promoting Indian Self-Determination & Self-Governance: • Enhancing the abilities of Tribal Nations in the exercise of their authority as sovereign nations

  13. Social Services • To improve the quality of life for individual Indians and Indian families living on or near Indian reservations • To protect children, the elderly and the disabled from abuse and neglect • To assist the needy in acquiring the most basic needs in life: food, clothing, shelter • To protect against the separation of and to assist with the reunification of Indian families

  14. PUBLIC SAFETY & JUSTICE • To maintain law and order on tribal lands • To protect life and property • To empower tribal law enforcement agencies and tribal governments to uphold tribal sovereignty and customs • Increased funding needed for the hiring of additional Police Officers and competent staff and Judges

  15. Minerals and Mining • To provide essential support to Tribes and Indian Allottees in the development of renewable and conventional energy resources • To address the demand for increased Bureau involvement & services in all aspects of the Oil & Gas industries • To ensure all regulatory requirements are enforced • To provide improved customer services to tribes and Individual Indian Allottees
