  1. Vera Schaffner Dias Stoneware & Raku Pottery Die Kunst des ”Raku” ist eine alte, aus Japan stammende Brenntechnik und bedeutet Glückseligkeit, innere Zufriedenheit und Heiterkeit. Dieses japanische Schrift-zeichen wurde in ein goldenes Siegel eingraviert und Mitte des 16. Jahrhunderts an einen japanischen Töpfer ver-liehen, welcher mittels seiner Brennkunst wunderschöne und einzigartige Schalen für die Teezeremonie herstellte. Seither trägt diese Technik den Namen ”Raku” und fasziniert zunehmend auch die europäischen Keramiker. Für mich ist Raku ein leiden-schaftliches und vielseitiges Experimentieren! Das Zusammen- spiel der vier Elemente Erde, Wasser, Feuer und Luft erfordert Spontanität und Kreativität. Die daraus entstehenden Zufällig-keiten verleihen Spannung und sind gleichzeitig Ansporn zu neuen Experimenten! Website: www.veradias.ch
