Many Industries benefit from advanced Technology these Days

ScanTech International is one of the best laser scanning companies in the UK. We have been providing 3D laser scanning services across a range of industry sectors since 2002, we were infact one of the first companies in the UK to purchase a 3D laser scanner. Making us one of the most experienced companies on the market.

We also provide services like Point Cloud Surveys, bim surveys and more. Here at Scantech International we have a huge amount of experience in dealing with 3D point clouds and getting our clients the deliverable's and results they need. We work with most of the 3D software platforms including: Revit, AutoCAD, Recap, Leica Cyclone, Navisworks, LFM, ClearRoute just to name a few. As we were one of the first five companies in the UK to purchase a laser scanner, we have more experience than 95% of other 3D laser scanning companies when it comes to handling and getting deliverable's out for 3D point clouds.

If you want to know more about our services visit now - http://scantech-international.com/

 1. Many Industries benefit from advanced Technology these Days One of the great features of modern building practices is the introduction of BIM, i.e. Building Information Modelling and the resultant importance of the BIM survey. BIM is the term that combines all aspects of a construction from pre-planning right through to the end of the project’s life-cycle. Thus: BIM refers to the whole process of collaboration by all interested parties with regards to creating a project – and even to its demolition and recycling of materials originally used to erect the structure. It is not a single aspect such as the correct software or specific aspects of the project. It refers to every last detail of the project and the role of every individual and/or team involved. A survey would, typically, refer to those aspects that address the totality, the understanding, of any BIM project. BIM surveysare used more and more throughout the world today in terms of which building projects are approached. There is a popular belief in the industry that the future of design and construction is undoubtedly digital, which includes BIM. It is already prevalent in the use of 2D software in CAD and 3D modelling in advanced applications used by engineers and architects. All of this points in one direction: digital construction as result of using these applications. The next logical step after introducing 2D software to create good drawings with CAD software had to be the introduction of 3D technology. BIM surveys allow for much more than CAD software to assist industry professionals.

 2. 3D laser scanning techniques, for example, which are employed on a much greater scale than was found even as recent as 10 years ago, are now becoming very popular with role players in the building industry. Advanced building practices require modern thinking and advanced methodology and technology. BIM is built on the idea of creating an intelligent 3D model of the proposed construction. It is meant to create the platform for the team of designers and planners such as architects, engineers, draftsmen and assistants to come up with the best model in the shortest possible time. The BIM survey and the use of 3D modelling contribute towards a more professional outcome than ever before and will lay the foundation of things to come in the industry in future years. The model, specifically 3D, provides the basis for accurate and easily accessible data for the project to be planned and executed to the highest levels of accuracy and professional outcomes – and also for the client in terms of being able to make his/her adjustments before construction goes ahead. The model contains all the important information that represents the actual final product, albeit only as a virtual representation initially, and the BIM surveyprovides the basis for creating the building way before actual construction starts. With the introduction of ever advancing technology and techniques – such as 3D laser scanning for example – the whole project is far superior to those of a number of years ago. Look at some of the benefits that laser scanning brings: real data of infrastructure in high detail; permanent backed-up information and absolute control of your project with minimal loss of information and constant saving of all relevant information; interaction of all involved at all

 3. times; adjusting problem areas as quickly as possible; perfect presentation to all involved – also the client. The BIM surveyassures a project that is, in every respect, superior to those of the past when only 2D images and drawings were used. BIM makes it possible for the team to work from a model that, apart from its 3D qualities, can include other important factors such as cost and time, tracking of the process, ordering of materials, planning work schedules and any relevant processes which less sophisticated models simply can’t achieve. There can be no doubt that BIM has brought a new, very advanced dimension to many industries, also construction. Scantech International works closely with professionals from numerous sectors such as Heritage, Transport, Plant and Railway Surveys, the Building Industry and the Nuclear Sector to bring them the latest in 3D Laser Scanning, BIM modelling and accurate as-built data. Our experience and skills at what we do help us to offer a great service that brings our clients the best in terms of the most advanced 3D Laser Technique practices that their industries can benefit from. We recognise the importance of all our clients in the success of our own business and ensure that they add value to their own endeavours as a result of their association with us.
