  3. Why Do We Do It? It's time consuming, stressful, it takes time away from your job or family. Often it costs actual money! Why do so many people donate their time, energy and efforts anyway? Nearly one out of three adults regularly spends some time volunteering. - University of Minnesota

  4. What do you call someone who gets people who don’t have to listen and can walk away anytime they want to accomplish something together? A LEADER! Really, Why? Value to You! Have an Impact Change a community Fulfillment Satisfaction in knowing you made a life better, accomplished something important.   5. Value to the Community Change at the community level requires far more reach and resources than any organization can provide. Voluntary service is the heart of community-building. It encourages people to be responsible citizens and make a difference. It enhances social solidarity, social capital and quality of life in a society. It is a means of social inclusion and integration. It makes the impossible possible…

Value to MCWT and Our Community In 2015 at MCWT, 1,200 girls attended programs or received scholarships, and over 2,000 adult attendees came to our programs or events, and a million dollars was raised to support women and girls in technology, and our community grew to 280 companies and thousands of individuals… Incredible! All with 3 paid staff… and 400 volunteers!
