How auto-tracking PTZ cameras work?

The auto-tracking system makes the camera follow a moving object in case the object moves out of the frame. This system works similar to motion detection and identifies the moving portion of the image and registers it as an object. It moves the camera so that the object can be kept in the frame for as long as possible. Even if the system is not monitored actively, the possible intruders around the area will be followed by the camera, picking up vital evidences.
