Five or six cruise ships can be floating in Grand Cayman's Harbor at any one time and this can lead to the main attractions such as Stingray City, the turtle farm and even the Georgetown shopping district becoming overcrowded with cruise passengers. If you have never visited Grand Cayman, go ahead and fight the crowds because excursions like Stigray City are worth it, but if this a repeat visit try heading to some of the lessor visited areas of the island. u0099 Pedro St. James Castle is the oldest stone structure on the island having been built in the late seventeen hundreds. Pedro St. James has been rebuilt a couple of times including as recently as 2006 after Hurricane Ivan devastated much of the island. Don't be surprised if what you find doesn't represent your typical European "castle" but know that it has been restored historically accurate. Visitors are treated to a small museum as well as 8 acres of parks and woodlands.
