Synthesis, Characterization, Morphology and Mechanical properties of SBRnanocomposites Derived from Nano Antimony Oxide

A novel rubber-nanocomposite has been synthesized through the emulsion polymerization of styrene-butadiene rubber and nano antimony oxide using accelerators and antioxidant. Sulphur was used as vulcanizing agent. The synthesized SBR-nano antimony oxide was characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and mechanical testing. On basis of the FTIR, the structure of the SBR-nano antimony oxide was proposed. The physico-chemical parameters have been evaluated for the SBR-nano antimony oxide. The aggregation nature of the synthesized rubber-nano composite was established by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The effects of nano particles in polymer matrices have been evaluated for the SBR-nano antimony from TEM analysis. Mechanical behavior of the composites are found to improve consistently as nano- antimony oxide content in the composites increases owing to increased rubber- filler interaction. Tensile strength studies are found to be useful to assess the improvement of the mechanical properties of matrix.

The composite is used in almost every industry because of its high strength to weight ratio. The project focuses on fabrication of metal matrix nano composites and to checks its mechanical properties according to the ASTM standards. The carbon nano tube metal matrix composite is fabricated using powder blending sintering technique and it is cured for several hours to obtain a complete composite. It is found that the mechanical properties of carbon nano tube metal matrix composite such as tensile, hardness and wear strength varies according to the composition of carbon nano tubes in the magnesium matrix. Dynamic Analysis of Bionic ARM

In this day and age there is an expanding need to make artificial arms for various cruel circumstances where human communication is troublesome or incomprehensible. They may include taking readings from a dynamic spring of gushing lava to diffusing a bomb. This paper presents a study on dynamic analysis of multi degree freedom of a bionic arm that is designed in CATIA V5. The prototype is converted into standard for the exchange of product .stp file and is imported in the ANSYS software for the calculation of parameters such as maximum and minimum of deformations, stresses, strains, velocities, and acceleration. The analysis is done with giving different materials for the better optimization of the parameters such as reduced weight, less friction, and more strength. The fingers are revolute pairs that are free to rotate about certain degrees this motion is given by actuators.
