Edmond and Josh, the people behind the Sahale Snack revolution started with a hike up Mount Rainier 13 years ago u2013 August 2003. It was the perfect hike for the two u2013 they were given the perfect weather, a great view, awesome company, but not-so-wonderful snacks. The trail mix and nuts that they brought were not as nourishing or even enough to replenish all the energy the used up in climbing the mountain.
