  6. Next Week’s Assignment Team Presentations – 3 people per team + 1 15 minute presentations Team 1: Theories of the Press – do they work in China or Uzbekistan Team 2: Censorship, ethics, and other legal issues Team 3: Reality or manufactured reality Team 4: Interpreting information

  7. Purpose of Presentations • Team topics cover major areas of readings • Each team reads the material carefully and constructs presentation that covers the key points in the readings explains them to the class relates key points to today’s journalism will help students take the exam in Week 8

When your team isn’t presenting • Take notes from other presentations • You listen carefully to ask questions after • If you disagree with something that is said, ASK after the presentation • Study format of other presentations and performance of colleagues • What can you learn from other formats, other performances?

As you read for the presentation • Take notes – material may be in Week 8 Exam • Save information, references, titles that seem interesting – for presentation, paper, and/or essay • Think about how material can best be presented • Makeobservations about what journalism is doing in today’s society: use examples in your presentation if you can
