SOP 2: Request Training or Needs Assessment • Welcome to Naval Hospital Okinawa! • This SOP is the first step to gain access to USNHO’s clinical systems. • Before you start this guide, have the following information available: • A working @mail.mil email address (if you don’t have one, or you are unsure, please visit the help desk to have on provisioned) • Department Head’s Name, email and work number • This guide is color coded, so if you print it out, be sure to print in color to keep the process simple! • **Please read each slide carefully and in it’s entirety!!**

Signing up for a CHCS/AHLTA/Essentris Class Pt. 1 Navigate back to the USNHO Information Technology Department Homepage, and follow these steps: Select “Sign up for an IT Class” This calendar will appear. - If you have prior experience with these clinical systems, you can email the trainers for a “Needs Assessment” to test out of the class. There are separate needs assessment test outs for Inpatient and Outpatient. - If you are familiar with these systems, but need a refresher, you can sign up for a ‘Refresher Course’ - Individuals working inpatient will need to sign up for the Essentris/CHCS class, and individuals working outpatient will need to sign up for the AHLTA/CHCS class. - If you are inpatient and need AHLTA, or outpatient and need Essentris, you will need to sign up for both classes or needs assessments. - There are individual courses for Nurses, Corpsman, and Providers, so please be sure to read the entire title of the class to ensure you are signing up for the correct one!   3. Signing up for a CHCS/AHLTA/Essentris Class Pt. 2 Select “Click Here” to fill out the request form and sign up for a class If you want to test out email one of the Trainers to test out “Here” CONTINUED ON NEXT SLIDE IN PT. 3

  4. Signing up for a CHCS/AHLTA/Essentris Class Pt. 3 This window will pop up. A Red asterisk indicates a required field, so fill these out accordingly. Notes: - For “Course Name”, be sure to select the class or needs assessment that is relevant to you. - For “Work Email” it is VERY important to use your mail.mil email address - For “Date of Training” and “Time”, be sure to use the dates provided from the class calendar on the Class sign up page. Once everything marked with a red asterisk has been completed, hit “Save” and you’re done! This class will be held in the computer lab right across the hall from the IT Help Desk. Please show up at least 10 minutes early. If there are no slots available or the trainers indicate that you cannot or do not need the course you signed up for, you will receive an email saying so.
