Abstract This fascinating seminar brings to light the differences in nonverbal and verbal communication styles across cultures and how these differences can cause misperceptions, misinterpretations leading to misunderstanding. Mr. Cruz will addresses the common wrong ways to deal with the differences and provide tips to effectively deal with the differences to prevent misunderstanding. This seminar is exceptional and outstanding in addressing the "hidden" diversity between cultures. • Attendees will: •  Learn and develop cross-cultural communication skills” • Recognize five functions of nonverbal communication •  Distinguish the six patterns of nonverbal communication which include proxemics, haptics, kinesics, oculesics, chronemics and paralinguistic • See how the differences in non-verbal communication styles cause misperceptions, misinterpretation and lead to misunderstanding. •  Recognize differences in values across cultures and how they impact the inter-cultural relationships in the corporate environment. •  Understand the most common incorrect ways to deal with these differences •  Learn effective ways to dealing with differences to avoid misperception, misinterpretations and misunderstanding.
