  1. Prepare for a Relaxing Week in Belize Belize is one of the hottest upcoming travel destinations in Central America and around the globe too. It’s nestled in the midst of Mother Nature; abundant in greenery and surrounded with clear blue waters. Also, due to its stable economy, plenty of outdoor activities, fresh food and amazingly welcoming people, Belize has become a tourist hotspot. It’s a perfect retreat for everyone – both young and old. So whether you’re planning a trip alone, or with family, Belize surely is the next best vacation destination for you!

  2. Get Your Passport & Visa Check your passport. It should be valid for at least the next 6 months from the date of your travel. Also, apply for a visa. If you’re travelling in a group, it’s best to apply together as it will increase the chances of a quicker visa approval.

  3. Explore Activities Explore various activity options. Belize is home to the world’s second biggest barrier reef which is a great tourist attraction. It has a large number of outdoor activities like fly fishing, kayaking, kitesurfing, kiteboarding, and much more. If you’re interested in archeological sites, the Mayan ruins are the best spot for you. For those looking for a good night life – Belize has it all.

  4. Book Tickets The earlier you book your tickets is the better, especially if you’re travelling in the summer months. This will allow you to get cheaper tickets and save on some cash. Speak to your travel agent for good package that includes accommodation, transport and may be even breakfast. Most hotels and inns in Belize offer amazing discounted packages for tourists around peak time, so make sure you book in time – and get a return ticket too!

  5. Get The Right Vaccines If you want to make your trip relaxing and worry free, it’s important to get the right vaccines – a flu shot, malaria vaccine and typhoid. These vaccines help ensure that you don’t get hit by a viral infection that can spoil your trip. Also, make sure to stock up on medicines just in case you do fall sick. These include medicines for fever, flue,

  6. Top Up on Dollars US dollars are accepted everywhere in Belize, so make sure you’re taking along the right currency with you. Credit cards are still alien to most local eateries and other places, so it’s safe to keep cash (make sure it’s in a safe and accessible place – and beware of pickpockets).

  7. Pack for the Trip Belize is warm and windy and gets rainfall too throughout the year. Keep light casual clothing, especially comfortable footwear as most areas are no-vehicle areas. Locals and tourists go on foot, or take bicycles or buggies. Take sunblock to keep away from sunburn. Keep all your gadgets and their chargers plus extra batteries. Travel light and smart and it will surely turn out relaxing.

  8. Recheck Documents and Reach on Time You’re all set to leave, but before that it’s good to check that you’ve got your passport, tickets, money, and things together. Make sure not to forget any of these else it will turn out to be a mess. Once you’ve got everything in order, reach on time for the flight to avoid any hassle.
