  2. Question • What will happen if we mix the sodium bicarbonate and the phenol red in a plastic bag?

  3. Hypothesis • If we mix the sodium bicarbonate with the phenol red, then _____________________ because ____________________________

  4. Procedure • Put on safety goggle, gloves, and pull hair back out of eyes. • Gather materials • Open the zip lock bag. Carefully pour the sodium bicarbonate into the bag. Then add 30 drops of the phenol red. Quickly close the bag tightly. • Mix together by kneading the bag.
