  2. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW • MILLIONS OF YEARS AGO, BEFORE THERE WERE ANY PEOPLE THERE WERE DINOSAURS. DINOSAURS ARE PRE-HISTORIC ANIMALS WHO ARE IN THE REPTILE GROUP. THEY LIVE DURING THE "MESOZIC ERA" OTHERWISE, KNOWN AS AGE OF THE REPTILES.

  3. AGE AND IMAGE • The largest dinosaurs were over 100 feet long and 50 feet tall. Most dinosaurs were in-between, but some were very small, the Compsognathus, it was the size of a chicken. Some have horns, plates, and spikes, and some were very scaly and smooth. The speed of the dinosaur varied from fast to slow. Only few could fly. Most scientists believe that they were green, gray, or black.

  4. WHAT THEY ATE Dinosaurs were either herbivores or carnivores. Herbivores, eat plants and have smooth teeth. Carnivores , eat meat and have sharp pointy teeth. A T-Rex is an example of a carnivore. Click to add text

  5. Dinosaurs were alive for over 220 million years ago, but they mysteriously went missing 65 million years ago. People believe that the reason dinosaurs became extict was from a massive volcano erupting and blocking out the sun from the Earth, which stopped the plant life, and the dinosaurs froze to death.

  6. Many scientists believe that the modern day's birds are distantly related to the dinosaurs, according to their bones. They are confused about how the animal could shrink in size over the millions of years. Scientists are studying more about birds and dinosaurs to see if these two animals are actually distant relatives.

  7. Every dinosaur was hatched from an egg, and had its family's instincts. They grow up and learn the classic dinosaur ways- hunting, eating, making a nest or home, and many other things. Almost all dinosaur eggs are bigger than a human hand, whch explains why dinosaurs are so big in natural size.

  8. Dinosaur bones have been found all over the globe, for hundreds of years. Many different kinds of dinosaurs have been found, and are being placed in museums everywhere, for the public to enjoy. There are over hundreds of different dinosaur bones that belong to different dinosaurs, such as the T-Rex. Humans will be finding dinosaur bones for centuries to come.

  9. In conclusion, dinosaurs are very interesting and peculiar animals in the world, and possibly the oldest. Although humans never got real views of them, we still know quite much about these big animals. And remember, there is a quiz!
