The presence of Female Sexual Dysfunction (FSD) in infertile couples further complicates its clinical management (2). FSD has been linked to infertility in several ways (3,4). This include: the infertility itself may cause psychosexual problems, psychosexual problems may masquerade cases of infertility, sexual problems might be resulting from the stresses or effects of medical treatment. The objective of this study is to determine the factors associated with FSD among infertile women. Identifying these risk factors could assist in strategizing measures in the prevention and management of FSD in relation to infertility. Every one in ten women visited fertility clinic suffered from FSD. Interestingly, the significant associated factors (longer duration of marriage, perceived pressure from husbands to conceive and lower husband’s sexual function – IIEF score) indicate clearly the importance of involving husbands in the management of FSD among women with infertility. Study design, Setting , Sample & Instruments Variables being measured: Respondent rate: 77.3% Mean age 32.3 years old. 84% Malays 66% tertiary education Duration of marriage 5.3 years References 1.
