Key Accomplishments in 2013 • Chapter Development • St. Lawrence/St. Laurent emerging chapter (bilingual) • Chapter Agreements signed with the following existing and emerging chapters: • BC, Prairies, Great Lakes, and St. Lawrence-St.Laurent • Research Initiative • Goal #1 Build capacity and share knowledge on Canadian best practices • Goal #2 Promote research collaboration, partnership, & networking across Canada • Goal #3 Advance the practice and contribute to P2 research in Canada • Outreach & Collaboration • Participated in over 10 outreach opportunities with various organizations • Organizational Stability • Administrative support contract with Amelia Shaw Consulting • Member Services • Monthly learning webinars & mentorship program

Looking ahead in 2014 • Core Values Awards • Applications open until May 14th to recognize best of public engagement in Canada – 4 new Canadian awards (iap2canada.ca/corevaluesawards) • North American Conference • Winnipeg September 28-30 • Registration open at iap2canada.ca/na2014conference • Launch of Foundations in P2 Certificate • New course to replace the IAP2 Certificate in Public Participation (2 courses instead of 3 with revised content) launches July 1 • Public Participation Certification • Task force currently developing accreditation for P2 practitioners • Learning Strategy • Core competencies and professional development • Advocacy, strategic partnerships & more integration with chapters
