Empowerment – Denmark in 1797 Source: Patienternes Rigshospital, Anne Løkke, 2007 For dinner each patient at the National Hospital had a right to soup (¾ litre), beef (125 gram), bread (250 g) and beer (½ litre) To avoid fraud and to ensure the right of the patients two steps where taken: A detailed menu was posted in each room and a weight-scale so that they could control it themselves.
