  1. What is JagCasting? JagCasting is posting or transmitting a file to be downloaded and viewed or heard by other Internet users either on a computer or MP3 player.

  2. What type of JagCasts are found our school website? • We have many different types of JagCasts available on our website for example: • The school newsletter, weather bug and MAUE-TV. • There are also special JagCasts found by clicking on the JagCast link on our homepage.

  3. On the JagCast page you will find both audio and video JagCasts • The school wide JagCast gives important school information. • There are 3rd, 4th and 5th grade JagCasts that provide updates on what is happening in the classroom. • Special editions are JagCasts of special events that are happening at our school. • The pathways classes create JagCasts to share with the community.

  4. How do I subscribe to a JagCast and what does subscribe mean? • Subscribe means you click on the orange RSS feed button and it will automatically bring the JagCasts to you feeds folder on your computer. • To subscribe to a JagCast just click on the orange RSS feed button next to the JagCast you would like to subscribe to.

  5. A page will open with a description in a yellow box. At the bottom of the yellow box click on subscribe to this feed. When a dialogue box pops up– click on the subscribe button. .

  6. How do I find the subscribed feeds? • While in the Internet - click on the single yellow star to the left of your command bar . Then click the feeds tab. This bar can be found on the top left of your desktop. • This will display your feeds

  7. Now every time a new feed is created it will send the feed to your feeds folder for you to view. • Subscribing to a feed is similar to subscribing to a magazine – they are both delivered to you. This is more convenient since you do not have to go to the web page to find a new JagCast.
