  5. Introduction (Overview) • Northwold Road location/ward • Amenities – schools, bus route, shops, recreational park etc. • Road collision data • Current collision reduction measures

  6. Scheme Background • Why are we considering proposal in Northwold Road? To upgrade the public realm, traffic calm, assist in improving and regenerating the area • Funding – The scheme is a newly developed proposal. It was not included in the 2011 LIP and it is funded from Developing Borough Infrastructure • Delivery – 2013/14 financial year

  10. Maintenance: Review existing tactile paving at crossing point O/S NW Primary school & re-align to approved standard Review existing speed table O/S NW Primary school & amend ramp gradient to approved standard Miscellaneous

  11. Miscellaneous (Cont.) De-clutter Street Signs: • On & opposite Alkham road

  12. Miscellaneous (Cont.) Other Safety improvements: • Adjust bus Stand east of Alkham Road in easterly direction to improve visibility. • SUDs – We have not yet considered – Needs Input from Adam

  13. Where do we go from here? • Senior Management/Lead Member Draft approval of proposals • Stakeholders Draft consultation • Public Consultation • Decision Audit approval • Traffic Regulation Order • Public Notification of works • Implementation
