  7. Project goal: • To meet the Bologna requirements and demands of The Act on Higher Education and Research in Croatia in order to join EHEA and to intensify the cooperation in the field of higher education in the region. B. Divjak & S. Kukec FOI

Specific goals: • Establishment of the National Bologna Promotes Team – 10 members • 150professors, teachers, students, staff and management at 6 Croatian universities trained in Bologna requirements and best practice exchange in order to make the transformation of the system feasible • The Ministry will be provided with expertise on the theoretical and practical foundations for reform polices and development strategies • The EU partners will exchange their know-how with us B. Croatian Team of Bologna Promotes • Bologna Promoters Team ≠ Bologna Follow-up Group • Will cooperate with the National Authorities • Advising their colleagues on how best to introduce Bologna reforms • Do not replace the work done by Ministries, Rectors Conferences, Quality Assurance Agencies, ENIC/NARIC centres, Socrates-Erasmus National Agencies etc. • Embedded in the national higher education environment and cooperate closely with National Bologna Committees where these committees exist. Croatian Team of Bologna Promotes • Consists of 12 promoters • Knowledge and experience to provide counseling to HEIs on the three Bologna priorities as defined by ministers in Berlin: • Quality Assurance (Internal and External) • The Three Cycle System (Curricular Reform, Qualification Frameworks, Tuning) • Recognition (ECTS, Diploma Supplement, EUROPASS, Lisbon Recognition Convention) B. Croatian Team of Bologna Promotes Promoters should be able to present and explain the other Bologna Action lines: • Promotion of mobility • Promotion of the European dimension in higher education • Lifelong learning • Higher education institutions and students • Promoting the attractiveness of the European Higher Education Area • European Higher Education Area and European Research Area – two pillars of the knowledge based society B. Croatian Team of Bologna Promotes A National Team of Bologna Promoters would normally consist of persons holding the following positions (or a combination thereof): • (Vice-)Rectors • Deans • Senior Academics • Directors of Study • International Relations Officers • Higher Education Experts • Student representatives B.
