  2. Venue Field Hockey Stadium at the Deodoro Sports Complex, in Rio de Janeiro, where the hockey competitions were held in the Pan American GamesRio 2007.

  3. Proposed Dates December 1 - 7 (Depending on the number of participating teams)

  4. Organization The competition will be organized by the Brazilian Confederation (CBHG) and the Hockey Federation of Rio de Janeiro (FHERJ).

  5. The Championship There will be both men’s and women’s competitions. Depending on the number of participating teams, we will hold a one-pool or a two-pool competition. Brazil will be represented by 2 men’s teams and 1 women’s team.

  6. Officials(revised) • Tournament Director = 1 • Tournament Officials = 2 • Judges = 4 to 6 • Umpire Manager = 1 • Umpires = 6 • Medical Officer = 0 • Media Officer = 0

  7. Officials Expenses covered by CBHG: • Round-trip airline ticket and full board for the Tournament Director; • Full board for Tournament Officials, Judges, Umpire Managers and Umpires;

Mem de Sá, 117 – Centro ( Lapa) Daily rates per person: In a single room with breakfast: R$ 135,00 In a double room with breakfast: R$ 150,00 In a triple room with breakfast: R$ 190,00;Restaurant: R$25,00 per person (1 soft drink included)

Accommodations For the Athletes Mengo Palace Rua Correia Dutra, 31 Daily rates per room: R$ 155.00 – single with breakfast R$ 175.00 - double with breakfast R$ 210.00 - triple with breakfast Restaurant: a la carte: about R$ 30,00 per meal.   11. Transportation The hotels suggested are in the downtown area, approximately a 25-minute ride to the Deodoro Sports Complex. Transportation from the hotels to Deodoro will be sponsored by CBHG. The officials will have separate transportation, also sponsored by CBHG.

  12. Media Coverage For the duration of the championship, the major newspapers will be covering the event. As soon as we receive confirmation that the championship will be held in Rio, we will contact the television networks to discuss coverage. CBHG will have a photographer present throughout the competition.

  13. Public Attendance Admission will be free of charge. The event, will be announced in schools and universities as well as in the media.

  14. Closing Ceremonies For men and women: • Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places; • Gold, silver and bronze medals; • Awards for most valuable player, best goal keeper and best scorer.
