  2. Introduction • The Diamondback Terrapin(Malaclemys terrapin) was named because of it shell looks like a diamond-shaped growth ring

  3. Habitat • The Diamondback Terrapin was native to the Eastern and Southern United States. It lives in swamp and coastal habitats on the Atlantis and Gulf coasts of the United States

  4. Physical Desciption • The Terrapin shell colour can be brown, grey, yellow or white. They have wiggly, black markings on their head and body. They have large webbed feet too.

  5. Diet • They consume fishes , snails, worms, clams, crabs, marsh plants, mussels and shrimp

  6. Conservation They were hunted down for they meat for delicacy to eat and was hunted almost extinction. They were also hurt by motorboats propellers and habitat destruction. We should stop killing them for their meat and start a conservation campaign to stop destroying their habitat otherwise the next generation would not be able to see them again.
