  3. Scenario • You are the new Assistant principal at Howard School. You notice in your first few weeks, that a paraeducator routinely comes in 30 minutes before the official start of the work day. However, she frequently leaves with the kids when the busses leave. One day in October, you over hear other members of the school staff discussing how they feel it is unfair that the paraeducator leaves before contractual hours almost everyday. What are the steps you would take to resolve this problem?

  5. Searching student possessions • As a matter of routine, a middle school principal decides to go through all student book bags and lockers to look for weapons and drugs. Is this ok?

  8. Trespassing or Willful Disturbance • A parent has been showing up in the parking lot very early every morning prior to staff arriving. As staff begins to arrive, they notice that the parent is taking pictures of them. The staff brings this to your attention as shares that they feel uncomfortable with this parent. What do you do?
