  3. Tropical Region lies very close to the Equator:between 10 N and 10 S The Amazon river basin drains portions of Brazil, parts of Peru, Bolivia, Equader, Columbia and a small part of Venezuela

  7. CLIMATE Hot and wet climate through out the year. Both day and nights are almost equally hot and humid. It rains almost everyday. The Day temperatures are very high. At night temperature goes down.

  9. It rains heavily,thick forests grow Leaves and branches does not allow the sunlight to reach the ground Only shade tolerant vegetation grow here.

  15. People in Rainforest

  16. While man hunt and fish along the rivers,women take care of the crops.They maily grow TAPIOCA,PINEAPPLE and SWEET POTATO. They also eat QUEEN ANTS and EGG SACS.

  17. CASH CROPS • COFFEE • MAIZE • COCOA

  18. The Staple food is MANIOC also known as CASSAVA

  19. They practice SLASH and BURN AGRICULTURE

  20. Some families live in THATCHED houses shaped like bee hives.
