  1. Restaurant Project 3ºA OCTOBER 29TH 3ªB OCTOBER 30TH

  2. General Objective To develop and show oral and written skills in the language, to use creativity in the project and apply key concepts of the Unit revised in classes.

  3. Procedure • 1. The classroom will be divided in groups of 3 people each. • 2.Act out a short dialogue using imaginary characters THE DIALOGUE MUST BE MEMORIZED AND 100% IN ENGLISH. • 3. typed copy of your dialogue must be included with the menu. Grammar will be a very important part of the overall grade. • 4. You will have 1 class to prepare and complete the project. Some work must be done at home.(October 25th/26th) • 5.You must work all together to create a successful restaurant production.

  4. Instructions for the Menu • 1. Design a menu for your restaurant. • 2. Create a cover with name, address, hours open and a sentence on the cover that advertises the restaurant. • 3. The menu must include: 3 complete breakfasts, 3 salads, 3 soups, 3 seafood dishes, 3 meat dishes, 3 poultry dishes, 3 vegetables dishes, 3 pasta dishes, 3 sandwiches, 3 desserts, 3 appetizers, 3 drinks. Each one of the dishes must have a 7 word description, except the drinks. • 4. The menu must have at least 6 pictures of food served in the restaurant.

  5. Instructions for the Dialogue • 1. You must create a brief dialogue for each of the people in the group. • a. Assign them a new name. • b. Assign one person to be the waiter of the restaurant. • c. Give them an occupation and somehow incorporate it in the dialogue. • d. Give people different ages and personalities in their dialogue. • e. Have each person do a greeting, exchange 10 lines(Each) with personal information, order food, talk about food. • f. The movie set should represent a real restaurant as much as possible. You must include props and act like you are in a real restaurant. (Use a real dish proposed on the Menu and the waiter should explain it)

  6. Rubric according to the Dialogue. 50 Pts. • BODY LANGUAGE 10 • PRONUNCIATION 10 • VOICE 5 • CLARITY IN THE SPEECH 10 • REAL ENVIROMENT(DRESSING, PLATES, FOOD, ETC.) 10 • RESPONSIBILITY 5

  7. Rubric according to the Menu and Script(Dialogue). 40 Pts. • GRAMMAR 10 • DEMANDED CONTENTS(COVER, 3 BREAKFAST, 3 SOUPS, ETC) 15 • CLEANNESS 5 • RESPONSIBILITY 10
