  1. Position-Specific Coaching: Basketball Shooting Techniques for Guards, Forwards, and Centers The game of basketball is a shooter's sanctuary. But being a shooter is not easy if all the precisions of the game are to be met. There are multiple techniques one needs to incorporate to get along with the game. To be a perfect shooter, you need to know how you can shoot. Also, whether your ability to shoot makes you a striker is also a matter to consider. Like soccer, basketball also has different players assigned to different positions. While one goes to shoot, the others need to back him up. Also, when an opponent player is trying to score, the guards need to prevent them and keep passing the ball until it is veered off or cleared. Therefore, for a proper basketball game, one needs to learn how to shoot perfectly and pass. An automated system for basketball hoop return can help one learn the tricks of making perfect passes. After the pass, the techniques that would follow are – Balancing – Keeping the shoulder wide apart with the shooting foot slightly ahead of the non- shooting foot, where knees should be bent and hips squared according to the target.

  2. Eyes on target – The eyes should be on target instead of the flight of the ball Follow through - It is important to follow through so that a rebound attack can be made Grip – The grip of the fingertips on the ball should never be missed Elbows – Elbows need to stay aligned while the lower arm stays vertical at 90-degree angle Stances – For centres, feet would be slightly staggered and pointed to the basket Shooting – Shooting should be made in a smooth motion Practising with the advanced basketball return system will help engage muscle memory, which will effectively help players achieve success by following these stances. Other suggestions for guards, forwards, and centres may help them. Guards – The guards should have better defensive skills apart from good shooting mechanics Forwards – When the ball is positioned in the shot pocket, it is important to grip it correctly and straighten your knees to jump Centres – it is suggested that the centres do not dribble the ball and try to score by shooting from where the ball has been received. However, to garner success with shooting a basketball in the net in a proper manner, the players need to follow the instructions of the coach and practice with an advanced basketball shooting machine, which will polish their skills.
