Snowball Review • Take a sheet of paper. • Write some notes to share about the November RC Day’s Training on What’s Different About Teaching Reading to Students Learning English. • What did you learn? What did you take away? • How has the training impacted your teaching? • What questions do you still have?

Heads Together! • Brainstorm a list of books you like to use with your ESL students. • Include books that connect with content. • Include books that make cultural connections. • Include books that are of high interest to ESL students. Identify which grade/age. • Estimate reading levels for the books.

  4. Teach the Text Backwards • Do the applications/extensions. • Discuss the material. • Answer the questions. • Read the text.

Write a Declaration of Independence declaring your independence from the school, and explain why you would like to start a new school. “We the founding students, declare our independence from your school.
