  1. How to prepare your bikes and cars this monsoon? The monsoon season brings plenty of joy to the people and offers a respite from the dreaded heat of the summer. But the rainy season can pose some difficulties for drivers and riders, and hence it is important that if you own a car or a bike then you start preparing to deal with the problems you can face on road during the season. So how can you as a rider or a driver make sure that the monsoon season does not become a problem for you? We will discuss them below. ● Check your tyres​- Make sure your tyres are good enough. Check the air pressure and the threading of your tyres. Improper or bald tyres will make your vehicle float on water which can result in your car or bike skidding. Hence, get your vehicle to an auto shop and ensure that the tyres are good enough to help you brave through the rains. ● Wipers​- Summers can take a heavy toll on your wiper and because it is hardly used during the season, the rubber parts of your vehicle can become brittle in nature. Its sudden use can leave scratch marks on your glass making it difficult to navigate. Old wipers can cause scratches that can loosen your pockets drastically. Hence, it is always advisable that you change them every year especially before the rainy season sets in. ● Lights​- Vision can be a huge problem during the rainy season. Hence, it is important to use your headlights and fog lamps to ensure that not only you but other riders are also safe on the road. Hence, make sure that your headlamps are in proper working conditions. ● Mud flaps​-Mud flaps are a must equipment that your vehicle should have. It prevents mud from getting sprayed all around and dirtying everyone including yourself in the process. Hence, get mud flaps attached to your bikes and cars if you don’t have them. ● Get your vehicle insured​- Getting your vehicle insured can not be an option as the government has made it mandatory for all the drivers and riders to have a vehicle insurance in place. Apart from that, how much ever precautions you take, you can never predict the damage that can happen to your vehicle during the monsoon season. Having vehicle insurance in place will help your claim settlement for the damage caused to your car or bike. It is important that you make sure that your insurance policy is renewed and up to date before the rainy season sets in. Have a coverage on the higher side so that you don’t have to worry even if repairing the damage is costly. ● Servicing​- Make sure to get your vehicle serviced before the rainy season sets in. This will ensure that your vehicle can be ready for the monsoon season and is in a proper condition to ride on the wet roads. ● Get yourself equipped​- Before you take care of your vehicle, it is important that you yourself are prepared to face the rainy season. If you own a bike or a scooter, get a proper plastic cover in order to keep your vehicle dry. You can put some newspaper on your car carpets in order to keep them dry. Also, get a tow rope in case your car breaks down and you need to get it towed. You need to be prepared properly as a rider or a driver in order to ensure that you are good enough to take care of your car or bike.
