  1. Different Types of N95 Masks sidrothus42.livejournal.com/371.html An N95 mask is a widely-used, short-term name for an N95 particulate filter respirator, which specifically meets the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) national air quality standards. When selecting this type of respirators it is important to understand the differences between a dust N95 mask, a dust particulate mask, a HEPA (high- efficiency particulate air) N95 mask, and other types of N95 masks. Understanding how they differ from one another and what they are used for will help in making a more informed choice about the respirators needed. Purchasing an N95 mask can be a daunting task with the many products to consider, but with the right guide, it can be made easier and more efficient. A dust N95 mask is one type of respirator that is available to protect the user from the dust particles that are contained in the workplace. While the goal of these masks is to protect the user from breathing in dust, it should be noted that they also do a great job of protecting the skin from abrasive particles that are present in the air as well. The difference between the dust N95 mask and other types of N95 masks is the amount of airtight seal present on the face area. As a result of the seal, the dust will not enter into the nose, the mouth, or the eyes; three areas that are critical to breathing in dust and particulates. Variations available in the N95 mask The other type of N95 mask that is available to protect healthcare workers from particulates is the spandex/spandex blend. These types of masks utilize the same high- tech NERF technology that is found with the N95 masks that protect the user against dust, however, they employ the use of an additional layer of spandex to provide moisture to the skin. As you can see, this type of mask is slightly more comfortable for the wearer and offers a little more protection against water column height pressure. However, these types of respirators offer no protection against airflows at pressures as high as those that are experienced by healthcare workers who are exposed to the highest levels of air contamination. Therefore, these masks may not be the best choice for individuals who are required to work in extremely high air levels. Finally, the last type of N95 mask is the colloid-type mask. The N95 colloid-type masks are typically used in conjunction with air purifiers. This combination allows the healthcare worker to control the number of pollutants in the air they breathe while still maintaining a comfortable level. Because these masks utilize small particles rather than micro-organisms, the N95 does not trigger an allergic reaction like other N95 masks do. While these three different types of N95 respirators may offer different levels of protection, they all adhere to the same stringent OSHA standards and regulations. If your employer uses one or more of these N95 masks, it is likely that you will experience 1/2

  2. little or no change in your health after working in the same environment for years. However, it is important that all individuals who will be working in these environments know and follow the safety guidelines that are mandated by OSHA, regardless of whether they are using N95 masks or other types of N95 respiratory protective gear. By ensuring that all workers are aware of and follow the regulations regarding the use and testing methods of their workplace's N95 masks, businesses can greatly reduce the amount of exposure to hazardous substances and ensure that their workers remain safe and healthy. One can easily find these masks from any retail store and drug store. If someone is looking to order while sitting at home then some reliable websites like accumed.com can be checked for better offers. 2/2
