  1. Are too many teens having Unprotected Sex?

  2. Why do teens start having sex at Such an early age?

  3. It is becoming more common for teens to start having sex at an early age, without fully understanding the possible results of these actions. • The APHA did a study and found that the biggest reason teens start having sex is because they think that their peers are doing it also.

  4. Previous research states that “One in three boys ages 15-17 say that they feel [peer] pressure to have sex, often from other male friends.”

  5. 50% Of teen girls in America stated that they had sex at an earlier age, believing that their other girl friends were having sex with their boyfriends as well, or that they were pressured into it by an older male. The APHA study found that the earlier a teen girl became sexually active, the more likely it was that her partner was older.

  6. The Center For Disease Control states that by the age of 20, three-fourths of America’s population has already had sex. • Even if teens aren’t having sex, the illusion that they are seems to persuade many individuals to become sexually active at an early age.

  7. Many teens do not even think twice about what they are doing when they make the decision to have unprotected sex!

  8. What is the main problem in today’s Society with unprotected sex?

  9. Adolescents ages 15- 24 account for nearly half of the twenty million new cases of STDs each year!

  10. Something you didn’t know? Contracting an STD caused by bacteria or a parasite can be /treated with antibiotics or other types of medicines to oppress the symptoms and eventually rid the disease. Unfortunately, by contracting an STD that is spread by a virus, there is no cure. There are only medicines that can control the virus’s “outbreaks”.

  11. Here are some examples of STD outbreaks

  12. babies With a mother that had an std outbreak

  13. What could be worse than a NASTY STD?

  14. The next rising problem behind sexually transmitted diseases is teen pregnancy! • Almost 50% of teens haven’t even given thought to how pregnancy would affect their lives, although it can be one of the most life altering experiences of a lifetime.

  15. Sure, babies are cute, cuddly and so adorable… But what you don’t realize is…

  16. The daughters of young teen mothers are 3 times as likely to become teen mothers themselves. • The sons of teen moms are twice as likely to end up in prison. • More than half of all mothers on welfare had their first child as a teenager.

  17. Less than half of teen mothers ever graduate from high school and fewer than 2% earn a college degree after having a baby.

  18. Teenage pregnancy brings substantial impacts on the economy, as well as negative social and mental effects on the parents and their teens. Tax payers pay BILLIONS of dollars Each year due to the costs of teen Pregnancy… ex) WIC, EBT & health Care costs.

  19. Now…..are you willing To go have Unprotected sex?!?!
