FYI for Final Outline • Examples examples examples • Provided “literary techniques” but didn’t explain which techniques were used or any examples • Numbering/lettering • Roman numerals I, II, III = each paragraph • Capital Letters A, B, C = sentence in par/topic • Numbers 1, 2, 3 = points that will explain topic • Lower cased letters a, b, c = evidence of 1, 2 • Thesis = road map of your paper • What you are trying to prove

Thesis Spotlight • Through Kipling’s technique, ability to develop intriguing themes, and his usage of his own personal experiences, he created pieces that will live in time forever. • Percy Shelley used many aspects in his poetry, some unconventional and uncommon to his time; there are some good examples of unusual elements in “The Mask of Anarchy” and “On Death”. • Clare has a distinct way to express his emotions, drown his readers in allusion, and compare his every aspect to nature.

Center it in the middle and do not underline it or put it in “”. • Double space, but do not use extra space in between entries. • Indent the second and subsequent lines of each entry. • Entries need to be in alphabetical order.
